Spring 2009 seems to be all about the body and showing it off in one way or another. One of the trends for this season that celebrates the female form is using twists as accents on clothing.
Again this is one of the trends I really like, but won’t be wearing. I tend to shy away from the body hugging fabrics’ that are used with this accent. I like Ben and Jerry equally way too much. For those of you who dare and look good in close fitting styles, get twisted. The waist is the most frequent area for this embellishment, but I have seen some really clever uses of this fabrication in other garment locations like at the neckline, wrists or hems.
A great idea to work this trend without committing to a garment is using one of the great belts that are on the market. Or clever fashionistas can work this trend on the low, low, low is buy using a great scarf and creating this look on the cheap.
