Global influence has picked up speed this season in the fashion world. Designers all across the fashion world are using strong tribal prints, ethnic shapes, fabrics and earthy accessories to fill the streets and magazine pages with a very cool international mystique.
Ethnic prints have always been sort of a “classic” fashion look, but this season don't limit your global trends to just prints. Most definitely dare to go wild with abandon for the warm weather months. Try wearing chunky wooden tribal jewelry, distinctive belts, and other ethic accessories with not so ethnic clothing.
Here are a few ideas: 1. Pair a flirty feminine floral dress with a wide leather belt featuring a huge buckle, a pair of bold cuffs and a matching or not matching necklace. 2. Wear a saucy pair of pinstriped trousers or shorts with a top that shows lots of skin, maybe cobalt blue or a geometric print, add some floral hair accessories and lots of jewelry. 3. Try a classic khaki suit with a flirty top, a pair of fabulous shoes and accessorize, accessorize, accessorize.
This spring/summer let classic meet the Congo, encourage your prep to let loose and add some global intrigue to your look,
Yours in the melting pot out of style,
