For spring and summer 2008, it was all about floral prints. This fashion theme was used for accessories and garments alike, if you could wear it or carry it, it was a floral print.
For Fall/Winter 2008 the floral pattern are once again a major influence, but unlike Spring/Summer 2008, the colors are soft shades and pastels. I normally am not a fan of pastels and light colors, but there is some really lovely merchandise gracing magazine pages and store windows.
One thing to be careful of is there is a thin line between what's current and the tie-dyed 60’s retro look, so choose your prints wisely. I have a weakness for realistic looking floral prints, so lucky for me a few designers used this water-color feel in darker shades too.
If a full on watercolor floral garment is overwhelming or not in your budget, try this trend in a great accessory like a shawl or handbag. Your sure to look picture perfect.
