Although I do own one, I am so not a fan of irons and ironing so this very hot look for spring 2009 is definitely high on my list of favorites. I am totally jazzed that if I work it just right, I can go rumpled, wrinkled and guilt free for an entire season.
Many designers, especially one very big name, are showing the wrinkled fabric trend along with the other hot looks for the season. In fact the wrinkled look seems to me to be their signature look for the season. One interesting aspect about this trend is the use of fabrics that are not generally wrinkled. Linen is notorious for wrinkling, but we are seeing garments in other light weight fabrics that either wrinkle on their own while being worn or have been “pre-wrinkled” by a process and then made into a garment.
Try one of spring 2009’s extremely feminine suits in this fabrication; this is a great way to work two trends at once and not be in fashion overkill. Another fabulous feature of this trend is it can pretty much be worn by anyone who chooses to. There are no limitations on whether it’s flattering to your shape, height or age. In fact a savvy and frugal fashionista should be able to create this runway look inexpensively by being creative and purchasing some key form fitting garments in wrinkle friendly fabrics .
It's a Prada-like plan,
