One trend that is so easy on the pocketbook is mixing basic black with some of this season’s bright color. Every good fashionista has a black-belt in shopping but in this economy we are becoming quite resourceful finding other alternatives to actually spending money, like going shopping in our own closets. Most everyone has at least some black in their closet already, add some new bright (or revive a little something) and you've got it.
The black and bright trend that is going on for 2009 warm weather is actually part of the 80’s revival that we have to be so careful with (there were a lot of bad looks). This trend is easy though; it’s almost too good to be true. Here are several black and bright outfit ideas: 1. a bright dress and a killer pair of black shoes, 2. a sexy little black top and a bright mini skirt -- try something with one of the new geometric prints or color blocking. 3. The traditional little black dress can get a new look with bright accessories or one of this season’s short-sleeved fitted jackets. 4. Break out your black leather jacket and pop it over a little bright dress or go completely bad girl with a pair of black leather pants or leggings and lots of bright baubles bangles and beads. You can even work the trend at the gym with a black ensemble and, as example, fuschia neaks.
