I never thought I would see it twice in my lifetime, but double belts are back. Yes it’s true, according to the gospel word of a major fashion magazine. Unashamed d esigners are showing the double belt with their collections as the accessory of the minute.
Double belts are great to break up or add to an outfit. Try one in one of the fabulous fabrications, textures and colors available. From sequins to skins they are the hot accessory for spring 2009. I have been on double belt patrol for a few issues and luckily they are using the double wrapping solely on the waist and not the thigh like the first time around. Good lord, who would do such a thing? Whether you saw it on MTV or not there was no excuse; it’s just wrong.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for all easily influenced fashionistas my age who are still prone to being a fashion victim, because going down that double belt road twice in a lifetime would be a crime of fashion.
