Girls, Girls, Girls…..Spring 07 is a very “girly” season full of sweet feminine prints, the re-introduction of the skirt and perhaps the most flattering denim season of all!
Baby-doll dressing:
Captured on the runways for fall 06, baby doll dressing continues for spring in soft jersey knits in a variety of prints and colors. Bright floral and geometric prints give this empire waist, soft flowy dress a raison d’etre! Sleeves are the big emphasis for spring….”BCBG”, “Language” and “Jaloux” featured flutter, balloon and banded sleeves to give your baby doll an ultra feminine look! We absolutely love this dress when paired with a bare leg and cork healed wedge or cropped legging from “Stella McCartney” or “DKNY” and soft ballet flats.
Tees, tunics and henleys...
...tops that are a must have in your spring closet. Tees with off center screens in ultra soft knits from “Language” feel and look great! “Michael Stars” and “American Apparel” tees are great for layering. Tunics from “Michael Kors” and “Mist” take on a shorter more relaxed shape for spring with empire waist drawstrings, spaghetti straps and flutter sleeves. Henley’s from “Free People” in various knits and light weight thermals all had the common satin trimmed placket.
Skirts:
Short minis were seen on the runways for Spring 07 in everything from nylon spandex, distressed denim to neoprene. “Body Glove” re-introduces the zip front skirt that takes you from water to land in an instant!
Denim skirts will dominate this season as top brands offer various lengths and fits. “7 for mankind” has a dark rinse short fitted skirt that is sure to be a new favorite.

“Diesel” puts a new spin on the skinny jean with their wide striped low-rise. “Joe’s” jeans add a cuff to their striped trouser jean.
Knee length denim shorts from “Joie” are a must have item! “Marc” by Marc Jacobs lends his special touch to his denim shorts by adding cuffs, a paper bag waist, and vertical pockets! For an extra leggy look…add a strappy wedge to this ensemble!
The latest denim must have to be offered for Spring 07 is the distressed denim, zip front dress with multi pocket detail from “Marc” by Marc Jacobs.
