The pajama influence namely men’s, is a hot, hot, hot trend for spring 2009.
If you’re still battling a few holiday pounds, this look can provide some great looking transitional outfits for this season. I like comfortable clothes, but I am on the fence about this trend. I think it works well for lounging in resort wear and cover-ups, but...
I have to say many of the fashions influenced by this pajama look trend just look too much like pajamas. The slinky, shiny fabrics used by most couture designers will probably be difficult for the average gal to work into her wardrobe. Luckily, a few designers managed to pull this look off by translating this look and feel into the mainstream by using less fluid fabrics.
Full legged slacks reminiscent of the 40’s and boxy blazers are perfect for those of us not jetting off to an exotic destination. The same holds true for shorter versions of this trend, like rompers and playsuits. Unlike the full length garments, the shorts and minis will be perfect for the coming warmer weather.
