Open Toe Shoes
One very, very, very hot fashion trend this Fall/Winter 2008 is open toed shoes.
Normally a warm weather shoe feature, this trend is walking right through fall and winter weather. The open toed shoe definitely isn’t one of my favorite shoe styles this or any season. Since I am not a fan of open toed shoes no matter what the weather, I will not be walking along this fashion road.
Judging by the presence of this trend, there must be more slaves to fashion than slaves to practicality. This trend began late summer 2008 and is still going strong. I would say every designer from haute to just hot is showing open toes on both casual and dress footwear.
Open toed footwear is walking all over the pages of magazines and runways. Peep toes or open toes are even showing up on women's boots; high and low, dressy and casual.
I have to say there are some very interesting and stylish open toed styles, fabulous, footwear with laces, buckles and bows, but I am still sitting this one out.
