Hats they aren’t just for bad hair days anymore. Bad hair days happen whether they are self inflicted or we are an innocent victim. We all get our turn to have them and most of us don’t have the luxury of going into seclusion, it can be tragic to face the world all because of jobs, kids and other such nuisances.
If you must face the world, a great instant cure is a hat and no one has to know unless we tell them. If you’re not normally a hat person this cure might take a little getting used to, but hats re-emerge every now and then as a hot fashion item and now is one of those times.
There are several types and styles, one favorite that seems to be crossing over from fall 2007, thanks to lots of LA starlets, is the knit cap. Black is a safe color choice no matter what the season, but stripes, and colors are also quite fashionable, so go ahead coordinate and it’s a great opportunity to try something new.
Another great hat look thanks to Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keyes and a few other celebrity fashionistas is the “gangsta” fedora, the gangsta fedora was also a hot fashion item for fall 2007 .It’s making a comeback in spring 2008, but this time in fabrics, straw for summer and covered in feathers. Yes feathers. A feather covered hats sound more avant garde than they actually look.
So its official hats are back or back in style rather. I am deliriously happy to see that the scarlet O’Hara bigger than life straw hat is on the horizon for summer 2008 but that’s another story.
