There will be no such thing as a bad hair day during summer 2009 thanks to the array of styles being shown this season. This summer hats are a fashion item that is definitely more fun than functional. Normally worn to shield us from the sun, hats are a fashion statement and add finishing touch to a great outfit.
In addition to fabulous floppy hats in fabric and straw, the fedora and bucket hat we saw in the fall are reappearing for summer 2009 in warm weather fabrications. If you're normally not a hat person, but were always curious, this is the time to give it a whirl.
There is an array of light casual and functional hats to choose from to give your summer outfit a little ooph and attitude. For you "not normally a hat person" people here are some suggestions:
1. Try pairing a "boyish" fedora with a "girlish" outfit for a fun "opposites attract look."
2. Pair a cute bucket hat with a summer suit or flowing blouse for a whimsical fun look.
3. Top off your favorite sun-dress, bathing suit or summer outfit with an oversized floppy 70's style hat. Add a pair of sunglasses and whatever you're wearing is instantly transformed into an up to the minute hot summer 2009 fashion look.
