Gloves are one must-have accessory this season. Since I am always wishing people dressed up more like in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s, I am really excited about this trend.
Gloves were once an integral part of every woman's outfit. Over the years they have become the forgotten accessory, used only for a purpose, not fashion. Well, they're back and in several lengths and fabrications: wrist, elbow, and opera or full-length and in leather, silk, wool and cashmere. Opera is the top glove for 2009 gracing both magazines and catwalks. Driving gloves offer a chic but far sportier alternative.
A fashion idea I will be making my own is wearing a pair of opera gloves with a sleeveless top in the same color. Love gloves? Look for them:
1. Faux fur trimmed (both solids and animal prints).
2. Embellished with buttons, bows, rhinestones and glitz
3. Adorned with fringe
4. Cutout or stenciled
