Fringe is a hot accent for Fall/Winter 2008.
If used correctly this accent can be timely and trendy if not, a disaster that screams Western Wear or “Flapper Inspired”.
Every time this accent reappears it seems some designer had at last found the hottest use. Fringe on handbags, jackets, shawls, and belts. One of the most usual unusual places fringe shows up on is shoes. Fringe on footwear has been almost a staple for suede items primarily boots ankle and to the knee.
The most unusual fashion item to be accented with fringe this season is sandals. At first thought fringed wearing sandals just seems so out of season for fall and winter 2008 but designers have pulled it off. Just take a look at any of the latest fashion magazines and you will see dark and exotic colored sandals adorned with fringe and they look great. I am not a huge fan on open toed shoes winter, spring, summer or fall but I will admit they look great on the right person wearing an a great outfit. But there are so many expressions of this trend I am sure I will find my perfect fringe to benefit my wardrobe.
