Dresses are a big fashion item for 2008 and there are several styles that are being featured as hot looks for 2008. One of the hot dress styles for 2008 is the trapeze dress.
The trapeze dress is very similar to an A-line dress, but my guess is its named trapeze dresss because it swings away from the body, very much like an a-line but its more exaggerated in the back. The trapeze dress is adorable and flirty and the fabulous feature of this dress is it hides your body shape.
Now although it hides your shape, I am not sure this is look is for everyone. I think I am going to skip this trend. I am a bit body conscious and shall we say bigger boned, so even though the trapeze dress does hide the body’s shape, the “swing” might suggest someone is bigger than she is and I am not that into fashion.
If you have the body or bold and body unconscious, I say go for it. I definitely agree the trapeze dress is a hot look for 2008 and I have seen the trapeaze feature on blouses and coats and it’s adorable and quite stylish.
The trapeze feature is primarily being shown on shorter dresses for warmer weather, but I have seen some quite stunning and dramatic longer dresses and gowns. I think the slimming effect works much better on the longer versions because of the weight of the extra fabric but that’s just me.
So whether you swing high or low, the swing of the trapeze dress is a hot look that will also keep you cool.
