Each season colors are singled out as being key, one of the key colors for Fall/Winter 2008 is Purple.
I think for most folks, purple is one of those colors that if you get the shade wrong forget it. For my choice, it’s the deeper and paler the purple, the better. I normally am not a fan of bright colors, let alone purple, but I have to admit I have seen some absolutely stunning shades on some unlikely garments.
Purple is definitely a difficult color to wear but somehow designers are managing to pull off Barney purple clothing and shoes, neon purple tye dyed sweaters and gape colored accessories.
For the not so bold there are some beautiful pale shades of purple, like lilac, to choose from. So go ahead and indulge in this key color this season.
Whatever shade of purple works for you, it’s out there. A rule of thumb to remember when you’re shopping is to remember these words; “If it’s not plaid it’s purple”
