Every garment takes their turn in the fashion spotlight, but for spring/summer 2009, the dress seems to be getting added exposure. Dresses are hot for the coming warm weather.
Good news for you who live, breath and practically eat fashion, it is a dress smorgasbord out there, so fill your plate. Designers have made sure there is something for each body type, dress length, occasion and color. Every fashion trend that is hot right now is represented.
For shape, you can go with a body hugging sheath or a flowing A-line or shift. The colors choices are endless: there are pastels, brights and of course black and white to chose from. If prints are your poison there is an overflow of bold prints and floral.
Fabrics run from sensible natural fibers to sheer organza, ornate laces, embroidery and even buttery leathers. These frocks are fun, feminine, flirty and fabulous. I like this trend a lot. I am always looking for an excuse to dress up so it’s nice to not only see more dresses on the runway and magazines, but such pretty designs and styles.
