There are quite a few warm weather trends being carried over into the cold this year; one of these roll over fashion trends is floral prints.
I love florals; the trend was one of my favorites this summer so I am excited and plan to keep my floral items out of the cedar closet. This trend goes perfectly with everything else going on fall/winter 2009. Floral prints are a perfect way to work the ultra feminine retro going on.
If you are as excited as me but not sure about how to work this usually summer print into your cool weather wardrobe, here are a few outfit suggestions:
1. Wear a floral dress under a fitted jacket or boyfriend blazer.
2. Top some tough looking distressed jeans or leggings with a flowing floral top.
3. Pair a floral skirt with a dark blazer or leather jacket.
4. Wear a sleeveless floral blouse under a chunky wool sweater with a tweed wool skirt.
5. Wear a short floral mini dress with black tights and a black t-neck.
One hint, just be sure not to over-plant your garden. Wear one floral item at a time.
In my winter garden,
