Peek wear, street wear,I love, love, love this, trend; I don’t think this trend is ever really is out, it just isn’t always mainstream. This trend sounds a bit outrageous but it can work when tastefully done. You know a peek of lace deliberate or not is great for the imagination.
Despite the fact we still have a bit of a chill in the air, I think this trend is just its perfect for this time of year. Summer would be the obvious season for this trend, but that’s what makes it so special and eye catching now.
This trend is influencing garments and accessories from top to bottom. Anything goes, well sort of, from pajama pants, to slip skirts to bustiers and lace t-shirts. We are even seeing this lingerie influence in jewelry and hair accessories.
I like this trend also because it’s actually fashion multitasking and perfect for this economy. Provided your garments are not ready for the rag bag, this season a lot of your best lingerie undergarments can peek outside. If you don’t have something in your wardrobe, try a lace t-shirt by Stella McCartney, a gorgeous camisole by Cosabella, or tap pants or slip by Lonely Hearts or Freya. Throw a cropped jacket over a pretty bustier for an evening option.
