Take the shirt off his back... and his jacket... and his vest. All male friends, relatives and significant others lock your closet doors!
If guys ever feel short changed in the world of fashion they will this season. One of the new looks for Spring 2008 is the menswear look, but not the full on Annie Hall version; a sexier version of pairing masculine pieces with this seasons ultra feminine pieces, this idea is all over fashion magazines. There is something so naughty and sexy about a bit of lace peeking out from under a more masculine looking fabric.
What you do is take the “boyfriend sweater” or wearing a men’s button down one step further towards feminity besides just wearing it on your female frame. It’s a great idea for those gals who just can’t go all the way girly or trying out some ultra feminine styles for the first time.
Here are some ideas:
Try topping a super-frilly dress or skirt with a menswear tweed blazer and finish the look with a great pair of heels, wedges or flats and a great bag.
A great looking pair of menswear trousers will look fabulous with either a flowing blouse or perhaps a delicate camisole topped with a menswear vest.
Another idea to try on would be pairing a mans v-neck cashmere sweater with one of springs new flowing full skirts, there is lots to chose from this season: beautiful abstract prints, bright floral , gypsy-like ruffles and the sexy longer pencil skirt.
This “he meets she” feeling can also be achieved with accessories, try a pair of great spectator shoes, a funky fedora, or a tie in place of a necklace.
These looks are really fun, fashionable and a great reason to check out the menswear department for items or ideas; you might leave the store with more than packages.
