One of the gender cross-over trends for 2009 is the skinny jean. Denim is hot, hot for winter 2009 and has been all year long.
Skinny jeans, back from the 80’s, have been a favorite among younger guys and are worn mainly as casual wear, but they are quickly being embraced by older males, going out at night and even to work on casual Fridays.
I am a sucker for a guy in beat up 501’s but these jeans are white hot right now for you guys. These jeans are worn with retro high top sneakers by the younger set, so here are a few outfit ideas for guys over 21:
1. Button down shirt, v-neck sweater-vest and Beatles boots.
2. Plaid button down shirt, corduroy blazer and loafers.
3. Plain white button down with plaid vest and spectator shoes.
4. Worn with a black turtle neck and black oxfords.
5. V-neck sweater, scarf and driving moccasins.
6. Pair your skinny jeans with a suit jacket and matching vest. Don’t forget a great belt if you wear them slung on your hips. Of course there is always the vintage Converse, laces untied, to wax nostalgic.
