Luxury and femininity are major themes in fashion for Fall/Winter 2008.
Lace is a timeless feminine touch that can be flirty or downright sexy. The use of lace for this season is full on. Normally used as accent on hems, sleeves and intimate wear, lace is being used as the primary fabric for skirts, tops and accessories.
Be warned; this trend is prone to overkill reminiscent of the 80’s Madonna craze, less is definitely more. It’s best to work this look with one great lace item. A lace headband, gloves or stocking are fine, but please worn only one at a time.
Lace is another look that is usually worn in the evenings but lace bodysuits and form fitting tops are showing up for night time and under suits and sweaters for daywear. Unusual items such as handbags, belts and hats are also being shown in lace.
Bright's, neon’s and pastels are showing up along with traditional colors black, white so the choices are limitless.
