This is one of my favorite trends right now. Even if the temperature hasn’t warmed up that much, it’s time to start showing a bit of skin and shake things up.
Black lace overlay is the perfect way to say sexy without uttering a word and show some skin without getting chilly. Right now the black lace overlay trend is all over the runways, magazines, and store windows for day and night.
The best thing about this trend is that it’s up to you how high you want to turn up the temperature. Use as much or as little as you want. Whether it’s on garments, accessories or jewelry, it’s all about lace overlay. Think black lace overlays make you look naughty? It's actually not, you are covered, and in style. It’s all about the imagination. Nothing is really showing and what makes the lace pop is it is being placed over a pale color or bright.
I think the really fabulous thing about this trend is it’s a one size fits all sexy because this trend can be worked in many fashion forms and to fit any budget. Check out shoes by Christian Louboutin or Guess, a sexy pencil skirt by Prada or NY Collection or fitted dress by Juicy Couture or Free People. All of these labels have some black overlay in their collections. You just have to look around a little.
