Lots of trends for the cold weather of 2009 are actually gender friendly to both men and women. One of these trends is wearing fur or as I prefer, faux fur.
I love fur on men and think it’s pretty cool and masculine, Fur after all was the clothing of choice for he-man cavemen once upon a time. Men wearing faux fur is also considered part of the vintage, gentleman or dandy trend that has been going on. If you work this look in moderation and or live in an extremely cold climate you can definitely pull this look off without a second glance. Fashion warning: A full on faux fur coat may not be for the average Joe, but you definitely can add a few faux fur accessories without out looking like Grizzly Adams or an escapee from the cast of Doctor Zhivago
Here are a few ideas to work this trend into your winter wardrobe.
1. A faux fur bomber or Elmer Fudd aviator style,
2. A fur collar or muffler
3. A pair of fur lined or cuffed gloves
4. Fur earmuffs.
5. Fur accented boots like Mukluks
6. Fur lining in your coat or jacket
Just my suggestion, if you’re going to work this trend you might want to stick to natural colors like brown, black or tan.
Fab in fur,
