One of the hot trends in jewelry right now is chandelier earrings. These are earrings that are so dangly and ornate they resemble small sparkling chandeliers or ornaments. They usually have a bit of an old world feel. You can picture them with ball gowns and ornate updos but they are distinctly modern lending charcter and charm to current styles. There are some styles that are very modern too. Check out the pair at the bottom of the image row, right. Very MOMA.
We have been seeing chandelier earrings since last spring but after they got a bit more play dressing up the holidays, they have become hotter than ever. The length of these earrings can go from a few inches below your earlobe to grazing your shoulder and of course the bigger and "blingier" the better.
If you have long hair you definitely want to wear your hair up or pulled back with these. You gals with short dos might shy away but don’t, these earrings look stunning with short hair, dramatic lips and eyes. Look for them in a myriad of colors and stones both real and faux. These ornate earrings make dressing-up a snap; they can turn any outfit into instant glam.
Just because they are ornate and glamorous does not mean they can’t be worn in the daytime however. Try wearing them with a pretty top, blouse or sweater and jeans for a classy chic look. Whether you go for faux or the real thing, you won’t have to search too far for this trend. The prices are across the board. Every pair up here is under $100. Some are under $20.
Most jewelry labels and lots of first time clothing designers are adding jewelry to their collections. Check out tried the tried and true like 1928, Liz Claiborne or unexpected labels like Lucky Brand.
