Prada is one of my all time fashion favorites and although I can’t afford the price tag, the name is definitely one of the designers on my “if I could afford it I'd buy lots of it" list.
I have made it a mission to make my closet home to something Prada one day, I am always on the prowl for the opportunity for a fabulous deal so, right now I am in the middle of a bidding war, wish me luck. If it doesn't pan out I'll look at consignment or simply continue to dream. Prada is one of those labels that will always be in style if not coveted.
For months now, fabulous shoes have been strutting down the catwalks nonstop and Prada is right there with the best of them. 2010 is going to be a fabulous shoe year.
I am not sure if I could or would wear all of the styles, but I have to say there are definitely some show stoppers. Along with the usual styles made of the most gorgeous leathers and other textiles there are some styles that are pieces of museum worthy art.
Prada never ceases to amaze me, each season the styles seem to outdo the ones the season before. Somehow the company pulls these unusual styles off. They are so over the top, but I do believe someone somewhere has just the right occasion to wear every pair -- I'm thinking Hollywood.
I am probably biased, since I have a shoe illness, but I love what they are showing for the coming season: studs, wings, “suspenders” and I think the 2-piece boots are very cool. The only style I probably would not wear is the Lucite sandals but I think they would make gorgeous wedding shoes that Cinderella would die for.
A girl needs to dream big,
