If you’re not into fashion 365 days a year you guys might be a bit stumped, when a holiday comes around. Being a bit more social is a guarantee in December and so is dressing up.
Many men appear to have two fashion speeds: work clothes and not for work clothes. Both speeds can run the gamut depending on taste and what you do for a living. So when the holidays roll around a simple rule is “step it up a notch or turn up the volume.
If you’re a suit and tie guy during the week, you will want to add a bit of color and style. Try adding a plaid shirt and contrasting tie or some accessories like pocket squares, cuff links or jazzy socks. If you’re a khaki and button down guy, try a great cashmere v-neck or cardigan, over a Henley or button down.
If you're lucky enough to be able to wear jeans to work, why not add a cool scarf with a sweater or try a vintage looking vest over a cool shirt . We gals usually have a never fail outfit that we feel great in and can go almost anywhere; here's one for a guy. It can go to a party or function out on the town.
Pair a velvet blazer with a cool button down shirt or sweater and a great pair of jeans. If your occasion is too dressy for jeans, opt for a pair of great pleated trousers in place of the jeans. Don’t forget to add a few trendy accessories like an oversized watch, luxury leather belt and shoes.
Tis the season. Enjoy!
